Eligibility Criteria
=> Master degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55 percent marks in total. (50 percent marks in case of reserved category candidates).
=> Candidates who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRF exam and are holders of teachers fellowships of apex bodies like
CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT etc are exempted from appearing for this test.
Application Fees
Open Category – Rs 1000/-
Reserve Category (SC/ST/VJNT/SBC/OBC) – Rs 500/-
Mode of Payment – Online.
Entrance Test
Candidates who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRF exam and are holders of teachers fellowships of apex bodies like
CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT etc are exempted from appearing for this test.
Syllabus
The syllabus for Mumbai PhD PET 2022 exam shall consist of various topics in compulsory/core subject and papers of post graduate degree level of the exam prescribed by Mumbai university for the subject.
Paper Pattern
PET shall be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and of 100 marks.
PET shall consist of 100 MCQs of one mark each.
The test shall comprise of two papers. Paper I shall be on Research Methodology, research aptitude, logical reasoning, comprehension, communication and general knowledge. Paper II shall be subject specific and the examination of this section shall be based on the respective Master’s syllabus of MU.
Each paper will have 50 questions and the qualifying marks shall be 50% of the aggregate, taking Paper I and II together.
Relaxation of 5% of marks from 50% to 45% shall be allowed for those belonging to reserved category / Differently/Abled and other categories of candidates as per policies of the Government of Maharashtra prescribed from time to time.
