Era University, Lucknow The Department of Anatomy is dedicated to teaching Human Anatomy to medical (UG and PG), paramedical and nursing students of this institution. The department has a spacious dissection hall where cadavers and prosecuted parts are available for demonstration to the students. The department has a well-equipped histology lab with good quality microscopes. Slides of various tissues and organs are available for study. Audiovisual aids such as overhead projectors and slide projectors are used in the department to facilitate reinforcement of knowledge. The museum in the department has mounted wet specimens, plaster of Paris, fiber 3D models and good quality charts for learning. The models are prepared by artists under the direct supervision of the faculty which ensures that the models are anatomically correct. The museum has an imaging gallery where radiographs, CT and MRI plates are displayed. Very soon the department will also start ultrasonographic anatomy classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Various research activities have been carried out in the department with special attention towards research in the following fields with a number of publications.
