BUGSLAYER'26: National Level Hackathon at DSCET
Bugslayer '26 is a premier National Level Hackathon organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering and Technology (DSCET). In collaboration with the WeCode Club, this two-day offline event promises an intense and innovative experience for engineering students across India. Scheduled for January 29th and 30th, 2026, the hackathon will take place at the scenic DSCET campus located on East Coast Road in Mamallapuram, Chennai.
The core theme of the event is 'Debugging Today. Innovating Tomorrow.' Bugslayer '26 serves as a competitive platform where participants analyze real-world problem statements and develop innovative solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to showcase their technical prowess and presentation skills within a limited time frame.
Events & Competitions
The event encourages creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through hands-on learning. Participants, working individually or in teams of up to four members, will design, implement, and present their projects. Beyond the competition, Bugslayer '26 offers valuable interactions with industry experts and mentors. Guests include Mr. E. Vimalraj (Founder & MD, 8Queens Software Technologies), Mr. Rohit (Network Engineer, Tata Communications), and Mr. Mohammed Hussain Shariff (Co-Founder & CEO, Livvolta Healthcare Innovations). Attendees stand a chance to win attractive cash prizes worth ₹10,000, best presentation awards, and internship opportunities for top teams.
Eligibility & Registration
The hackathon is open to all engineering students across India. Registration involves a mandatory fee of ₹300 per team. The last date to register is January 26th, 2026. Certificates will be provided to all participants upon completion. While the event provides a platform for skill development, participants should note that accommodation is not provided by the organizers.
