UDALGURI COLLEGE came into existance on the 20th day of August,1979 as a result of the ceaseless and untiring efforts of the preparatory comittee under the secretaryship of Sri SAILENDRA NATH BRAHMA with a view to offering an oppurtunity to the economically backward people of this vast north eastern region of undivided Darrand District. It may be mentioned here that a Peer Team of NAAC assesed the functioning and achievments of the College and awarded C++ GRADE (68.25%MARKS) to it.

Sipajhar BEd College, Sipajhar was established in 1994. To do the necessary works for the establishment of the college a sponsoring body was formed with Sri Bhadreswar Nath as president and Sri Badan Chandra Saikia as the secretary and in due course the college was inaugurated on September 22, 1994 with due permission of Gauhati University.
