Established in the year 1999 Synergy achieved the rare distinction of Accreditation by NBA, New Delhi, approved by AICTE and affiliated to BPUT. Synergy offers B.Tech Programmes in CSE & IT, ECE, Electrical, Mechanical & Civil and M.Tech programmes in CSE, ETC, Mechanical & Electrical Engg. Imparting technical education in the lap of nature amidst most modern infra-structure & facilities it is rightly called “The Modern Day Gurukul”.

Situated in the sylvan setting of forest, hills & mango groves, Dhenkanal College is the Premier College in the District Of dhnkanal. The college was established in 1959 by the efforts and sacrifice of some local enthusiasts with only pre-University arts class and functioned under private management in vinod Bhavan , a small building in the town. The NAAC peer team visited this College and awarded B++ Grade.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang was established in the year of 1982 and was managed directly by the Govt. of Orissa in the name of Orissa College of Engineering (OCE). Prior to this, since 1981, the institute in the name of Modern Polytechnic (MPT) was offering Diploma Courses in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mining Survey Engineering. In the year 1987, both OCE & MPT were merged and renamed as IGIT, Sarang and the management was transferred to an Autonomous Society.

Keeping in view of the requirements of social workers and journalists in Government and Private sectors, NYSASDRI has opened “NYSASDRI SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM AND SOCIAL WORK” (NSJS) at Govindpur , Dhenkanal. This school has got recognition from Government of Odisha Tourism and Culture and affiliation from the Utkal University of Culture.

Dhenkanal Law College is established in the year 1981. It is affiliated to Utkal University and permanently recognized by Govt. of Orissa. This college is "Accredited by NAAC: "C" Grade with CGPA 1.96". It is also recognized by the Bar council of India. The Institution is included under 2(f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act and receives assistance from the UGC.

The Orissa College of Pharmaceutical Sciences is located at the Dhenkanal. The site is well developed with an architectural view comprising of beautiful lawns, gardens, boundary, landscaping and plantation. The site has been architecture with the master plan for campus development keeping in view of various aspects of convenience, safety and utility of the facilities.
