Krishnagar Womens’ College was established in the year 1958 with a view to impart education to the women replicated from erstwhile East Pakistan. Since then much water has flown through the rivers but still now the college follows the motto of empowerment of women by catering to the needs of women of neighboring areas.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College was established in 1973 at a Village Betai under P.D. (now Sub-Division) Tehatta, District Nadia in West Bengal.
