The College Library has been awarding prizes every year to three best students-one each from the three faculties, viz., Arts, Science and Commerce-who secure the highest marks in the T.D.C. First Year Examination. It is also considering presenting awards to three brilliant “readers”, irrespective of any class or shift.

Tezpur Law College, established in 1972 is one of the best institutes of Legal Education in Assam. It is the fruit of the hard labour, untiring efforts and selfless service to the cause of legal education rendered by the legal luminaries and social visionaries of Tezpur, both of the past and present. Tezpur College, one of the premier colleges of Assam, came in to existence in the year 1965 due to untiring efforts of Late Dulal Chandra Bhattacharjee, a doyen of teaching and legal community of Assam .He was also the founder president of the college. Started as an evening college for the benefit of poor students and housed in Tezpur Academy, the College was later shifted to the present site on the flank of the famous picturesque hillock of Agnigarh in 1968.

TEZPUR, July 10 – The construction of the Tezpur Medical College is likely to be completed towards the end of this year. Construction works at Tumuki near the Bihaguri Development Block in Sonitpur district have been going on in full swing. Altogether 700 labourers have been working round the clock with a view to completing the allotted work and handing over the college hospital to the Health department as soon as possible.

The Govt College of Teacher Education, Tezpur, is located at Tezpur. Tezpur is located on the north bank of the mighty Brahmaputra. It is regarded as the cultural hub of Assam. The college is one of the premier institutions of Assam. It was established on the 6th of September 1977, in the premises of Tezpur Academy. Subsequently, in December 1984, it was shifted to its present site near Nikamul Satra, Mazgaon.

School of Engineering (SoE) is housed in seven buildings, one building each for the six engineering departments, viz., Civil, Mechanical, Food Engineering and Technology, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Energy, and one separate building of approximate built-up area of 2980 Sqm for housing common facilities for all the departments under SoE.
