The management of Hazardous Wastes at all stages of production, handling, storage, transport, processing, treatment and ultimate disposal is a recent social and legal imperative. EPTRI is at the forefront of this movement. HWM group is working on a joint project with Vai Va Projekt,Sweden for the implementation of the Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) at Dundigal, Hyderabad. These wastes may be found in different physical states such as gaseous, liquids, or solids.

Environmental Impact Assessment encompasses a wide variety of studies and techniques which can be used to describe, quantify and interpret the environmental conditions of sites before and after development intervention. These studies have become integral for demonstrating regulatory compliance and providing documentation in support of environmental clearances. At EPTRI, Environmental Assessment is performed to meet environmental protection objectives by drawing up Management Plans.
