To coordinate these activities and to provide exclusive information to foreign nationals, an International Center for Ayurvedic Studies has been inaugurated on January 5th, 1999. This center looks after the admission of foreign nationals in various courses and provides technical and administrative help to the students. Gujarat Ayurveda University being a premiere institution of Ayurveda and W.H.O. collaborative center, became a center of attraction for foreigners. Students from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius came here for regular P.G. degree course. The University started a three-month introductory course in Ayurveda in 1990.

Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Sciences, established on 1st August, 1999, is a constituent Institute of the globally renowned Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. It is the World's first and currently only of its kind in Gujarat, offering education in Ayurved Pharmacy at the Diploma and Bachelor level. M.P.Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar was established in 1955. The college is affiliated to Saurashtra University, and central government. M. P. Shah Medical College is the 2nd largest Medical College and hospital in the state of Gujarat. The MBBS Degree offered by the college is recognized by MCI.

As 2nd & 3rd MBBS classes were started from 1985 the 1st three batches of students after 1st MBBS were shifted to B.J.M.C. at Ahmedabad. This college was founded on 1st July 1946 as the united effort of students, teachers and Gulabkunverba Ayurvedic Society. Then this college was affiliated to the State Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Bombay and later on with the Board in Gujarat. A course approved by C.C.I.M. is being conducted since 1976 giving the degree of B.A.M.S. At present this college is a constituent college of this University.
