Andhra Medical College (AMC) is the oldest medical college in Andhra Pradesh and one of the oldest medical colleges in India. It came into being on 19th July 1923 and rapidly acquired national attention as a center of higher learning in medical education. The first principal was Captain F. J. Anderson and 32 students were admitted in that year. The ‘medical school’ was initially affiliated to Madras University.

The Trust seeks to fulfill the prime objective of promoting technical, professional and management education among various sections of society particularly Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by establishing a network of schools, colleges, management and technical institutions and Universities in Andhra Pradesh and in other parts of the country.

College of Management Studies was started in 1988. The College is affiliated to the Andhra University and is permitted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is also recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E). The College campus is situated at a distance of 10 kms from the city and is well connected through the public transport system. The College has a unique distinction of offering BBM course for the first time in Andhra Pradesh.
