Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences is affiliated to University of Jammu. The University of Jammu was established in the year 1969 on the basis of Kashmir & Jammu Universities Act 1969 passed by the State legislature and after receiving assent of the Government published in the Government Gazette on 10th November 1969. The University is located at Baba Ambedkar Road, Jammu which is 1 Kms from Jammu Railway Station and about 5 Kms from Jammu Airport.

Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology has been established by Sant Manjit Singh Trust registered under the aegis of Dera Sant Pura Nangali Sahib Poonch, J&K State, India. People of Samba and the surrounding areas had been demanding for opening of a college at Samba right from 1952. In 1983 Wazir Commission recommended a separate District “BAHU” comprising of Tehsil Samba and areas from west bank of river Tawi. But the recommendations were not implemented and the demand of people of Samba remained hanging in balance.

Established in 1981 Govt. Degree College Rajouri is located at a small beautiful plateau at village Kheora, 3 1/2 kilometers to the North-East of Rajouri town. The college campus presents a picturesque view in the backdrop of snow capped Pir Punjjal Mountains in the North, Dhani Dhar Fort a monument in the East. In the West lies the brimming riverine of Darhali Tawi. Historic Rajouri Town lies in the south. Tall poplar trees, bordering the entire campus lend grandeur and glory to it.
