Department of Earth Science
The department offers courses and research opportunities for advanced study in geology, mineralogy, petrology, remote sensing, GIS, petroleum geology groundwater, environmental mining and statistical geology. Post-graduate programs leading to the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees are offered.
Major facilities include modern teaching aids and research equipment, departmental museum with a large collection of minerals, rocks, ores and fossils, good computing facilities and internet connection.
