Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar Department of Basic Principles This department imparts the knowledge of Basic Principles of Ayurvedic classics and history of Ayurveda along with Sharira Rachana and Sharir Kriya. Under this department nearly 198 post graduate theses and 22 Ph.D theses have been awarded degree. This department carries out research related to Ayurvedic fundamental principles like Panchamahabhuta & Tridosha and also conducts clinical trials to assess the role of various basic principles in the management of diseases. A well-equipped laboratory is also established to work on the fundamental principles of Ayurveda. Literary Research Unit - This unit works under the guidance and collaboration of Basic Principles Department.
