Considering the need of skilled technical manpower to meet the expected demand the Institute Of Medicinal Plant Sciences was established in the year 1999-2000 by Gujarat Ayurved University as a Self-Financed institute., The qualified faculty appointed for the purpose serves the Institute. Also the staff of I.P.G.T. & R.A. and some others also serve as faculty for this Institute., The Institute is housed in a good building in the campus of the University. Various laboratories under I.P.G.T. & R.A. and medicinal plants gardens provide facility for practical work and their related studies on medicinal plants.
