J S Ayurved Mahavidyalaya is located in Nadiad district of Gujarat. The college is a private aided institution, which is affiliated to Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. The ayurveda college was established in 1938, to promote the ancient health care system of India - Ayurveda. For the purpose, the college offers an undergraduate course in Ayurveda, called Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS). The institute also provides many well equipped facilities to its students such as library, laboratory, research, computer facilities and modern medical facilities.J.S. Ayurved Mahavidyalaya College is located in Nadiad, Gujarat. It is a private college and aided by Government. It is established in the year 1938. It is joined with Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar.

1938 -was the period when India was struggling for its freedom from British rule. This was not only a political agitation, but also an urge to reestablish our cultural and scientific heritage, which was strategically put down by Britishers. With this patriotic feeling,Vaidya Sundarlal Joshi, established this institute with the objective to revive institutionalized education in Ayurveda.
