India has set a goal of total literacy which boosts the establishment of colleges of education that prepares the students for B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses. The Department of Education offers the courses with an intake of 100 in B.Ed. and 35 seats in m.Ed. , 50% to general category and 50% reserved for minority. Till date, the achievers are 597 in B.ed., 84 in M.Ed. and 17 are pursuing Ph.D. many got appointed in govt. schools and others in private colleges.
