Government Degree College Paloura was established at Government Higher Secondary School vide Government Order No. 269-HE of 2007 dated 20-12-2007 and it was decided that College would function in the newly Constructed Block of the school having two Rooms. Professor Vijay Kotwal was the first Nodal Officer of the GDC Paloura and Professor Anil Goel was the first institutional over Head of the College., Government Degree College Jammu City Paloura was established at Government Higher Secondary Secondary School in the Month of September 2008 vide Government Order No. 269-HE of 2007 dated 20-12-2007, and it was decided that College would function in the newly Constructed Block of the school having two Rooms. With the Passage of time requirements of the College also increased and the authorities decided to shift College from the Higher Secondary School to Government College of Engineering and Technology GCET old University Campus, Canal Road Jammu on 6th of October 2009. College is accomodating 908 Students for the Session 2019-2020. Now College is Working in its new Building at Mishriwala. The College offers Subjectts in Arts, Medical and Non-Medical for the Session 2019-20. The College has been Granted Permission to run Science Stream Med& Non-Med from The Session 2017-18. Strength of Permanent Faculty is 21 Member & Strength of Non-Teaching Staff of College is 11 in Member. Despite difficulties the College is running quite successfully in curricular and Co-curricular activities in general and in academics in particular.
