Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan Department of Electronics And Communication The Department offers a 4-year B.Tech. programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and runs an active Doctoral programme. Emphasis on VLSI design and use of CAD tools The undergraduate programme aims at providing a balanced exposure to both Electronics and Communication. The special feature of Electronics teaching is the emphasis on VLSI design and the use of CAD tools in its development. The Department has obtained extensive libraries including one from the Semiconductor Complex of India, Mohali. On the Communication side, the Department highlights modern technologies like optical fibre, wireless and mobile communication. Students of the Department are given high exposure to computer technology as well. The Department carries out research in low power systems and wireless communication.
