Kashi Sahu College has a vision of an education that would enable the youth to take part in the polity of the state & nation and to grow intellectually while at the same time retaining their rootedness in the cultural and civilizational values that India stands for., The College has been established on 05.08.1969 in Seraikella, Jharkhand. This region is rich in tribal 64% Tribal Population population, hence the college established as a ray of hope pioneering the foundation of higher education and since then the college is imparting quality education in UG & PG level in various subjects., The founder Principal was Dr. S. Yadav. He was a well-known scholar of English and he headed the institution from 1970 to 1981. Later on he became the chairman of Jharkhand academic council. This college became a constituent unit of Ranchi University in 1981 and later on of Kolhan University with the trifurcation of Ranchi University in 2009. In 2005, the IGNOU centre had been established in the college to facilitate higher education for working people of this backward area. In 2009 B.Sc. Hons courses have been started in the college and in 2010 PG courses have been started in two subjects. At present the college offers UG courses in various subjects, Vocational course of B.Sc.IT, and PG courses in Commerce, History, Pol.Sc., Economics and Hindi. The college is practicing to acquire the up-to-date trends in imparting higher education with regular increase in ICT facilities, internet facilities and online resources. Apart from this, The college is also growing its Laboratories and other resources to provide better research facilities for faculties and students., This college had been started with only 07 seven student and at present more than 4000 students are pursing various degrees in higher education this college.
