Sri Kalidas Education Society BSN College, Badami
Shri Kalidasa Education Society was established in year 1977 on a firm foundation of religious moral, intellectual and cultural values. A group of member with the great commitment and enthusiastic under the leadership of Shri B. B. Chimmankatti. Ex- Minister of Karnataka. It was difficult movement to all section of Children to get the education as it aims at imparting liberal Education to children, irrespective of caste, color and creed. At the beginning, the society started free boarding facility, as the days passed the management started many other new courses. The society had entered the new arena i, e. science, arts, commerce, job oriented courses & Medical courses etc. It is great honor to have 14 sub-institutions under the name of the society. The management decided to start new medical course in 1992 which was difficult movement to receive the medical course to the weaker section of the society and gradually started post graduate center. Nearly 2000 students are studying under the roof of the society. It is an honor to acknowledge the great personalities, who visited the institute are Shri S. M. Krishna, Union External Affairs Minister of India and Former Chief Minister, Shri Veerappa Moily, Honorable Minister of India, Shri S. Bangarappa Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, H. Vishawanath, EX- Minister of Karnataka and M.P. The Great poets and novelists who visited our institution- H.Chandrashekarayya, Dr Shiva ram Karant, G.S. Shivarudrappa, Chandrasekhar Kambar, Jayanth Kaykini, B.Husian Sab (Dasa) and many other great personalities.
