S G. Balekundri Institute of Technology was founded in 2008 to create Engineers who can define, design and deliver technology to improve people’s lives. Today, SGBIT lies in the league of premier institutes of Karnataka and has a tryst with global standards in its commitment to bring up ‘Engineers of Tomorrow’. S.G.Balekundri Institute of Technology was established in the year 2008, by Shri Sidddharameshwar Education Trust It is located in the heart of Belagavi city.

Within ten years of its establishment, the college has entrenched itself in the league of the most reputed institutes of Belagavi.

The college campus is spread over 10 acres of land,in the midst of an educational locality, flanked by a number of reputed educational institutes. Highly developed infrastructure for the entire engineering course is available.
