The School of Legal Studies, established in 1962, is one of the oldest departments of the University. It was formed as a part of Kerala University, offering post graduate courses and research in law. Markose, an internationally reputed jurist, the founder director of the Indian Law Institute and Deputy Judge of International Administrative Tribunal was the prime mover of this School.
