Meppayur Salafi College of Teacher Education was established in 1995 as a Professional college dedicated to the education of teachers. Since 1995 this college is imparting quality education to teacher trainees. College has a glorious past with rich academic tradition and excellence. The college is recognized by the Govt. of Kerala affiliated to the University of Calicut and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. The college is situating in a beautiful wide plot extending 16.5 acres land in Kuluppa hills near kuttiady river and 8 Km away from the nearest town Payyoli and the nearest railway stations are Koyilandy and Vatakara.

The course will follow the general rules prescribed for the B.Ed course by the University of Calicut with respect to academic standards for admission, course study, scheme of Examinations, instructional hours, Practice Teaching requirements, attendance of students, etc.. with the rules and regulations of NCTE. The course extended for a period of two years/four semesters. The course of study shall be by regular attendance for requisite number of lectures and practical training.
