Located in The Prestige Institute of Management and Research (PIMR) is conceived as a unique growth oriented Institute of Management education and training. The Institute has been launched with the solemn objective of catering to the educational and training needs of the students, non-resident Indians, foreigners residing in India, defense personnel and executives from industry and government. The uniqueness of the Institute lies in its provision for elabrate spectrum of management programs under one roof, on-the-job training, semester university examination, emphasis on qualitative education / training and building of cultural values and development of dynamic personality. The Institute made a beginning by introducing MBA (Full time and Part time) program, an undergraduate program and 5 diploma programs in management discipline in the very first year. Under the ambitious plan to increase the number of programs to cover important branches of professional education, the Institute has also started Master of International Business and Bachelor of Computer Applications. Thus, it aims at becoming one of the best self reliant private education and training centres in the country. The Institute has approval of All India Council for Technical Education and the State Government and is affilated to Devi Ahilya University. As such, it is a fully recognised institution. Devi Ahilya University awards all the degrees and diplomas offered by the Institutthe Institute had started is being fulfilled in offering quality education, training, research and consultancy. The Institute has started new professional programs and has also undertaken number of projects to benefit the industry and business. New innovative systems have been adopted for pragmatic orientation of the students to groom them to face the competition in international market., The Institute has relentlessly endeavored to make its students confident, knowledgeable and self-sufficient. I am happy to learn that faculty members of the Institute have made a mark in academic circles not only in the country but also in South Asian Region. I am proud of what we in PIMR have achieved in twelve years of existence and look at the future with optimism and confidence.In retrospection when I look back, it gives me great satisfaction in seeing tangible evidence of the growth.
