Tikamgarh is a district head quarter and linked with Sagar,Lalitpur ,Jhansi Through bus route. the institute Government Poly Technic College ..Tikamgarh is situated in the west of city near the historic polo ground and four km. from bus stand. the institute started in the year 1995 -96 and is affiliated to RGPV ,Bhopal. at present two diploma courses Mechanical Engineering and computer Science & Engineering with intake capacity of 60 in each discipline.Presently Govt.Polytechnic college spread over 8 acre (Approx) in the existing building of former senior technical school Tikamgarh and the government has also allotted 9.049 hectare of land for new site of polytechnic campus.The college has its own campus sprowling over 8 acre area. College has a riched library and workshop. Separate labs such as physics, chemistry, computers and mechanical engineering labs are available for practicals. A separate boys hostel in front of college.The workshop has all the conventional trade shops required for regular curriculum. The work shop consists of a no of machines and practice shops for the practicals of work shop practice and production. The l Library has a rich collection of all kinds of text books and reference books related to various subjects of studies of the engineering as well as applied science courses being run at the institute. A number of important scientific and technical journals are being subscribed to.
