The Master of Mass Media (MMM), is a two years postgraduate academic Mass Communication degree course in India. The Mass Communication study covers all types of medium used to convey information to the public. The study provides intensive theoretical and practical skills and knowledge in various media professionals ranging from the management of media organization to research and an integrated perspective of media functioning along with a fair amount of exposure to technical and analytical skill required for the media profession. The master’s course prepares candidates to join News Organization like Newspaper, Magazines, Television and Radio, the study develops the skills such as managing online communication, interpreting data on public behavior, crowdsourcing for information, interacting with the public etc. The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects of Principles and Techniques in an academic discipline such as,Mass Communication, Mass Media and Development, Digital Divide and Information Sharing, Traditional Media and Theatre, Micro Level Media, Contemporary Trends in Print Media,Relevance of Various Laws, Ethics in Media, Communication Research, Media Research, Marketing Research, Radio Broadcasting, Broadcasting Technology.

The candidate have to complete Bachelor Degree like, Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM), Bachelor in Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC) or any other Bachelor Degree with relevant subjects, or equivalent examination,with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s Diploma professional study program.

Course Duration / Learning Mode

This course requires study requires 2 years of time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional diploma course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning study option to earn this degree.
