Master of Philosophy in Fashion Technology (M.Phil.Fashion Technology), is a one to two years postgraduate Fashion and Designing degree course in India. The study covers all the aspects of designing and technical machine work.
The aim of the master study program is to provide knowledge and develops the technical and creative skills in candidates for making a successful career in the field of the fashion world.
The course is suitable for those candidates wants to increase their knowledge for accelerating their career by exploring and acquire a critical understanding of Fashion Technology.The course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and information and techniques about the Fashion and Designing, The study is focused on theoretical and practical aspects and Principles Techniques in an academic discipline such as Apparel Manufacturing Technology, Fashion Communication, Design Illustration, Computer Designing, Retail Marketing & Merchandising, Knitwear Design Technology, Research Methodology, Pattern Making, Garment Construction, Entrepreneurship Development, Quality Control and Standardization, Textile Design Development.
The candidate has to complete Master’s Degree like Master of Science in Fashion Technology (M.Sc.Fashion Technology), or any other Master’s Degree with relevant subjects like Fashion and Designing, or equivalent examination, with minimum aggregate 50% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in M.Phil.Fashion Technology Studies program.
The master’s study requires 2 years of the time period with an internship in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course. The course is not available for part-time and under distance education mode as it's a practical based study.
After the successful completion of this course, candidates can also pursue the higher studies and do Ph.D (Doctorate in Fashion Technology), and specialization or research oriented work in their respective field.
