National Highway 29, Kohima. In the first year 164 students were admitted, 36 students were enrolled in P.U. Commerce and 128 in P.U. Arts stream., The college was privileged to have Mr. A.K. Das, retired Vice-Principal of Kohima Science College as its first Principal. With an experience of more than 30 thirty years in the teaching profession, he nurtured the institution at its infancy with the motto ‘True Education’. He was assisted by Vice-Principal, Mrs. Achibeni Ezung, a lecturer in History Department and non-teaching staff comprising of a Peon, a house keeping staff, an office assistant, a librarian and a driver., Today, the college continues to grow and strives to be one of the best institutes of Higher Education in the state., Mission, To be a centre of excellence and College of choice for the cause of quality education., Vision, To empower our students through modern education., To strive for academic excellence., To develop all round personality of our students on progressive lines., To provide linkage between academia and industry., The College is a unique co-educational institution. It is designed to impart integrated education to students drawing the best from within and outside the State, instructing and helping them to acquire knowledge in Arts, Science and Commerce and developing their all round personality on progressive lines with a comprehensive mental outlook and self-confidence based on sound character and good conduct to face the future., It begins with by enforcing discipline. Cordial relationship between teachers and students is maintained in which the former is motivated to play the role model for the latte.
