Welcome to St.Xavier College, Jalukie, the pride of Peren. Established in 2005, the college has run on success and giving hope to the growing generation of the land. In the past history of one and half of a decade, the institute has nurtured hundreds for the attainment of Bachelor of Arts BA.

Situated at Jalukie, the economic hub of Peren District and as the premier Educational institute of the region the college addresses the growing generation from the region and beyond giving them ample opportunities for growth and development. Academic excellence, leadership and personal empowerment, social responsibility, community involvement, responsible citizenship, skill & motivational up-gradation, employability, cultural preservation & exposure programs, etc., have been our characteristics.

Peren is the eleventh district of Nagaland bounded by Assam State and Dimapur District in the west and north western part respectively, as well as Kohima District and Manipur State in the east and south part respectively. Peren, Jalukie and Tening are the major towns of the district. Most of the inhabitants belong to the Zeliang, Rongmei and Kuki tribes, with their unique cultural and traditional depth marked by dance, music, arts, craft and fineries. The district has an area of 1799 sq.kms., with a population of 94,954 2011 census under 7 administrative quarters. The region is also noted for its moderate climate across the year with sufficient rain and chilly weather in the winter.
