Dr. K Sravan Kumar, an alumnus of School of Physics, UoH (MSc-2009-11) has been selected for the prestigious Newton International Research Fellowship of the Royal Society, London to carry out research at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation (ICG), University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, UK.

Dr. Kumar obtained  did PhD from the Department of Physics, University of Beira Interior, Covilha, Portugal in 2017. He worked as Post-doctoral Fellows at various high-profile institutions such as the Department of Physics, Southern University of Science and Technology ( 2017-18), the Van Swinderen Institute for Particle Physics and Gravity, University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands ( 2018-20). Dr. Kumar is currently a JSPS fellow at the Department of Physics, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan.
