The history of Naami College is an account of the triumph of some generous public-spirited gentle men of the locality whose untiring efforts & initiative could also help the birth of the institution possible. A very magnanimous donation of Sri Biju Pattnaik finally paved the way for the establishment of the college in concrete shape., The college was founded on the July 15, 1978 with only intermediate Arts class in the Sri Sasadhar Chaulia Mill Premises. In the year 1980, it was shifted to Naami M.E.School. Two years latter the location of the college was shifted to the present site area of about 15 acres., The +2 Science & Commerce classes were opened in 199596 session. The Degree Course in Arts was introduced in 198889 Session and today the college imparts teaching at Honours level in History, Political Science. Philosophy, Economics,, English and Oriya. A self-financing course for P.G.D.C.A. in' Computer Education has been launched by the college from the session-2005-2006. Besides in +2 Arts the Logic, Education & Sanskrit was opened in 1986-87 and 1995-96 Sessions respectively. Now the college is a full-fledged degree college in Arts. It was formerly affiliated to the Utkal University but now it is affiliated to F.M. University Vyasavihar, Balasore and C.H.S.E., Orissa.
