This school of medicine, under KIIT- University is committed to provide promotive preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to all to achieve excellence in nursing education and nursing services., KINS is a pioneer institute of Nursing education in Odisha, academically affiliated to KIIT -Deemed University & recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and state Nursing council, Odisha., KINS was inspected by INC in the year 2005 and permitted annual intake of 30 students for GNM program. 1st batch GNM was admitted in the year 2008-2009 academic session. In 2010 GNM seat was enhanced from 30 to 50 students. Thus 50 students were admitted in the 2010-2011 session. Basic B.sc,4 years degree program of 4 years was started from 2010-2011 session after approval of INC with annual intake of 40 students. In 2012-13 session 2 year Post Graduate Nursing degree was started with four specialties from the academic session 2012. The B.Sc Nursing seat was enhanced from 40-60 annual intake., Vision, Our vision is to heal and comfort the suffering humanity with compassion and respect with advanced body of scientific Nursing knowledge , innovative technological approaches to transform evidence based Nursing practice locally , nationally and globally to be recognized as Nurse educator, Nurse practitioner and global leader., Mission, To translate the Vision, KINS will -, Maintain the highest ethical & moral standard emphasizing integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, professionalism and stewardship., Uphold the spirit of philanthropy and the practice of volunteerism., provide outstanding service to all with utmost respect regardless of view point of status.
