Located in The College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Puri (CPS, Puri) is situated on the Puri-Konark Marine Drive Road, at Baliguali, about 5 km away from holi city Puri, in pollution free zone creating perfect atmosphere for study and research programmes. Puri is a holy city of Lord Jagannath on the coast of Bay of Bengal in the state of Odisha situated about 60 kms. away from state capital Bhubaneswar. Visitors around the country and foreigners are coming to this holy place to visit Lord Jagannath Temple & Golden Sea Beach & Konark Temple., CPS, Puri was established in 1986 with D.Pharm course and subsequently B.Pharm started in 2006 and M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics) in 2010. Now the College is recognized by Govt of Odisha, approved by AICTE, PCI and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and an ISO 9000:2008 certified institution. Highly qualified and experienced faculty members with doctoral degree have joined the Institute to provide quality education and academic excellence., Recently the Nodal Centre of Research (NCR) of BPUT is approved in the College in which all types of research, project, Ph.D in pharmacy will be conducted. The approval of Nodal Centre of Evaluation of BPUT is also under process. Good placement record is maintained with reputed pharmaceutical companies selecting our students on completion of the courses. The laboratories are well equipped with modern equipments for research work. Well furnished library with around 9000 books and more than 20 national and international journals, periodicals are provided with adequate reading room, internet access etc to provide latest information on pharmaceutical sciences. Permanent hostel building for boys is available in the college campus and girls’ hostels are available in Puri town. College bus is available for transportation., Collaboration with pharma industries for training & placement, projects is made through our Industry Institution Partnership Cell (IIPC) which is established with the objective of reducing the gap between industry expectations (Practice) and academic offerings (Theory) by direct involvement of pharmaceutical industries. Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) are already signed with some pharma industries., Organizing seminars, conferences, scientific talks, sports & games, annual function, various cultural programmes, professional activities are regularly conducted in the College. Recently 13th Indo Malaysian Conference has been organized in collaboration with APP Odisha State branch. More than 700 delegates including many principals and faculty members from various colleges participated along with 100 scientific papers presented in this conference., Under the dynamic leadership of Sj. Prafulla Chandra Mishra, CPS Puri was established in 1986 and has been successfully continuing in 34th year. Many new and innovative programmers like NBA Accreditation, expansion of building, sports field, industrial collaboration, academic excellence are undertaken under the active leadership of present Chairperson, Smt. Anima Dash and Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Amiyakanta Mishra.
