Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University (PSSOU), Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur, was established on 20th January 2005. It is named after Pandit Sundarlal Sharma. The academy of this university aims at educating more and more people of rural socially economically backwards and to those who have craving for education but can’t manage to go far in distant big cities. The university also offers special distance learning programs for Handicaps thus the working of this university is different from that in the conventional universities.
