Located in Hayagriva Polytechnic College is a first Self financing Polytechnic College founded in 2010 by Sri Hayagrivar Educational Trust as per Puducherry Government Order Lr .No.069402/cs H&TEdn./E3/2009 Higher Education, dated 15/12/2009 and AICTE, New Delhi, Lr.no.4851dt: 02/08/2010, Hayagriva Polytechnic College has a wide area of sprawling 6.67 acres green campus. It is situated 25 km. from Puducherry town., The Polytechnic had a remarkable growth during the last six years. Initiated with five Diploma courses such as Civil Engineering,Mechanical Engineering,Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Engineering with a student strength of 570, it has now grown up with a total annual intake of 420 and lateral entry of 150 and caters well to the Quality Technical Education needs of the rural areas of Puducherry State., The infrastructure facilities made available within the unique green environment and the serene atmosphere are greatly conducive to help the student community. The buildings of the Polytechnic College provide excellent infrastructure which includes a two storeyed main building, spacious workshop buildings, a full fledged Computer Center and a well equipped Library. The over-all built-up space amounts to 10,000 Sq.m 107,640Sq.ft., Apart from this, the campus has numerous facilities like play-fields, canteen, well- laid roads etc. A Water Purification plant is functioning which provides drinking water. Great care is taken in maintaining the entire campus neat and clean.
