Guru Nanak dev Education society established Lala Lajpat Rai memorial polytechnic college, Ajitwal Moga in the memory of the great patriot of punjab Lala lagpat Rai with insignia of ‘work is worship’. The main aim of builder of the institution is to bring the education to the doorstep of the poor and the needy students, so that they can be prepared to get employment in this age of competition., All the office bearers of the managing committee Secretary Chairman Dr. Rohin Sachdeva, President Dr. Swaranjit Brar and General Secretary Dr Hrajot Kamal Singh visualized a dream which the college Director Dr Chaman Lal Sachdeva has tired to metalize by dint of his firm determination and ceaseless efforts. Under the efficient leadership the college is making its mark on the international Level. The main aim of the managing committee is to be trained students technically with latest methods , so that there should be all round development of their personality. the make useful contribution to the economic development of the world., There are nine diploma courses namely Electronics & Communication Engg, Computer Eng, Mechnical Engg, Electronics&Telecommunication Engg, Automobile Engg., Civil Engg, Electrical Engg, Information Technology, post diploma in CAD/CAM,+1&+2 Medical&non medical and six department of Technical education i.e Applied science, computer an Information Technology, Mechanical Electronics, Electrical and Civil Engine., Every Department has fully equipped laboratory with modern infrastructure. The college library contains twenty thousand books on different subjects. The lecture halls are full of modern equipment. seminars are held from time to time and students are evaluated frequently in written and practical knowledge. The college has its internet system and there is trained staff to educate the students. Meritorious and backward class students are provided fee concessions and stipenols. A Training and placement cell has been set up to facilitate the students in the choice of the profession, Another commendable and effective step when recently by the college is that managing committee of the college has bridged a gap between the eastern and western education to fulfill the aspirations of the students to get higher education in the famous foreign universities of the world . With this purpose in mind the college has made collaboration Staw college Glasgo, Scotland and with various universities of New Zealand, America, England., Two NSS units and one NCC unit are working successfully in the college. The students have set records in basketball, kabbadi, kho-kho, badminton, Hockey, Football and TT games in the state level competition and they have won overall Championship Trophy. Bus service is provided by the college to the students coming from far off villages and towns. Many cultural activities Qualities of hard work ,Discipline and cooperation are included in the students through various camps organized by the NSS units. There is special arrangement of medical aid and high power generator has been installed to provide 24 hours power supply to the students. The college director has made special efforts to provide pure drinking water to the students and for this purpose a big purifier machine with the cost of 3.5 lakh has been installed..
