MISSION STATEMENT We provide for our students an education in Computer Science & Engineering and attempt to instill in them the attitude & values that will prepare them for lifetime of continued learning & leadership. Through research & dissemination through scholarly publications, the Department strives to generate new knowledge & technology to serve the professional societies, the community & the nation. VISION STATEMENT The vision of the Department is to build a strong research and teaching environment pertaining to the broad areas of Computer Science & Engineering in order to meet the challenges of the 21st Century. Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University is established in the year 1983 and now is an institution with a track record of nearing to four decades. The Department of Computer Science, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University was established in the year 1986. The department started with the course P.G.D.C.S. and then opened the avenues for variety of courses like M.Sc. (Computer Science), MCA, M Phil., Ph.D., PGDEM, and ME CSIT. The Department has made every possible attempt to accomplish the educational needs and ambition of the people of the nation in the area, related with Computer Science and ICT. Almost10000 students have been accomplished their dream to be a IT professional in last 35 years. They were assisted to become IT innovators, all the way through this Department. It is quite obvious that many of the brilliant students have now acquired most respectable and impressive position in distinct domain and have made their imprints in different walks of life at National and International level..Also many have made a significant identification at national and international IT software companies.
