IISER Tirupati Post Doctoral Research Fellowship 2019 – The notification for the IISER Tirupati Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Program (PDRF) 2019 has been released. 

Indian nationals who have 0-5 years of experience after obtaining their PhD degree are encouraged to apply. 

Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) Program

  • IISER Tirupati has an active Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) Program to enable very motivated young researchers to perform research in the frontier areas of Science and Technology. 
  • Applications are invited twice a year, in April and October, for the appointment of post-doctoral fellows in the numerous research areas. 
  • These positions are open for applicants with 0-5 years of experience after obtaining a Ph.D. degree in associated areas. Applicants that have submitted their thesis and awaiting award of degree may also apply. 
  • Applicants ought to provide evidence of having carried out high quality research during or after their Ph. D. program. The award will be initially for one year, with an extension for another year after a review of performance.
  • PDRFs have to get connected with a specific research group depending upon the research and facilities/mentorship needed to carry-out research.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who have a PhD Degree in Biological, Chemical, Mathematical and Physical Sciences/ Engineering/Technology and related areas as applicable are eligible to apply
  • Those who are in the final stages of their PhD thesis submission are also eligible to apply; however, those candidates must have submitted the thesis at the time of the interview.

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on the quality of their research work and proposal. The final selection will be made based on all the above criteria, specific area of research and performance in interview.
