About Assam AHSEC Board
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is the board of education responsible for conducting the Higher Secondary (HS) or 12th-grade examinations in the state of Assam, India. The council was established in 1984 and is headquartered in Guwahati. AHSEC is a regulating body that supervises higher secondary (HS) education in Assam. The board is located in Guwahati, India since it was established. The board decides the syllabus, exam schedule, and exam pattern for HS (class 12th) exam in Assam.
The council also conducts the HS TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) for candidates who wish to teach at the HS level in Assam. The AHSEC also maintains a database of HS schools and colleges in the state and is responsible for their accreditation and recognition.
