Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan, a modern multipurpose girls Higher Secondary School is the brain child of Sri Basudeo Tikmany who conceived about the school far back in the year 1987 and encouraged like-minded members of the Agrasain Seva Samity.
The necessity of a good English Medium School for complete personality development of girl students as per International Standards was felt by many social workers, industrialists, and members of Agarwal Community in and around Howrah and Kolkata. Generous contributions from the Agarwal community gave enormous boost to the project and within two years of the foundation laying ceremony on 25th March 1994 by the then Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Sri K. V. Ragunath Reddy, the school opened its door for students on 3rd June 1996, with 524 girls and 25 teachers under the able stewardship of Sri S. K. Srivastava, the Principal.
