Keeping in view the need of alternative education system for achieving the goal of "education for all" in Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh State Open School was established in the year 2008 as per the decision taken by the Government of Chhattisgarh.Presently the office of this institution is located near UCO Bank, Board of Secondary Education Campus, Pension Bada, Raipur, from where education through personal contact programs by giving admission to the deprived class in class 10th and class 12th in entire Chhattisgarh. Will be given Thereafter, examinations will be conducted twice a year in the month of August-January and February-July. It can provide a maximum of nine chances to the students to pass the examination in a span of five years. Under the credit scheme of Chhattisgarh State Open School, the passed students of other recognized Boards / other State Open Schools also have the facility to pass the examination.
