Jnv Dhenkanal. stated in the year 1986 temporarily at Rengali Dam site and subsequently shifted to its permanent site at Sarang in the year 1998The National policy of Education launched in 1986 envisaged that in order to achieve “National Integration” in a topsy turvy world. It is the finest and foremost duty of the teachers to Orient the child from an early stage towards national Integration. To achieve this goal Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization was set up as a society under the societies registration act under the Ministry of HRD(Deptt. of Education) Govt’ of India to establish and run Navodaya Vidyalaya-Co-Ed Residential –an average one in each district of the country .Two vidyalayas (JNV Amarabati and jnv Jharjhar) of Maharastra state in the year 1985 on experimentally basis and subsiquently 81 schools stated in the year 1986-87 out of which JNV Dhenkanal is one of them.
