JNV Galibeedu is situated in the scenery and lush green hillock near kootuhole reservoir, which is 7 kms from Madikeri, head Quarters of Kodagu district. It was establiished in the year 1987 and started functioning in the Government Junior College premises at Madikeri Town with a strength of 52 student. In 1995 the Vidyalaya was shifted to the present site at Galibeedu Road and has a strength of 526 students of which 264 are Girls which is a special feature of this vidyalaya. All the constructions with regard to infrastructure are completed. There are ten blocks of dormitories for students and two dining halls separately for boys and girls and for juniors and seniors. There are 42 staff quarters and a MP hall.
