About MBOSE
The Meghalaya Board of School Education was formed in 1973 and was set up as per the act called Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education. The Board controls and regulates all the matters related to School Education all over the Meghalayan State. The Board was set up initially to control SSLC examinations in 1996 until the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) discontinued Pre-University Degree. Presently, MBOSE is responsible for conducting SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) as well as HSSLC (Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams all over the state.
