The aim of the course is to provide the necessary theoretical background along with the experimental work experience so as to meet the requirements of the Industries and R&D Organizations concentrating in the area of Optical Communication and Optoelectronics & Laser Technology. The optical industry is huge, largely dominated by display devices like Optical Sensors, LEDs and LCDs. India has good scope for people trained in optical communication. The optical communication industry is well positioned for growth in the days to come, Such postgraduate programmes are being offered by only few Universities.
