Shobhit University, Meerut Department of Computer Engineering & Information Technology School of Computer Engineering & Information Technology is an integral part of Shobhit University. SCEIT was developed in 2000, with a view to create the requirement of technically qualified personnel for research and development, academia, regulatory affairs and administration in the field of Computer Engineering & Information Technology. The major objective of the School of Computer Engineering & Information Technology of Shobhit University is to provide a platform for higher education, i.e., under graduate, post graduate and Ph.D. and to train the budding professionals in basic and applied aspects of Software development process, System programming and state of the art IT technologies and research. To support and realize the goals, the School of Computer Engineering & Information Technology provides all infrastructure facilities including well furnished class rooms, well equipped laboratories, Library and Wi-Fi network. Objective To impart quality education and training in the field of Computer Engineering & Information Technology. To become a centre of excellence in IT industry. To encourage and pursue utility based research in the emerging areas of Computer Engineering & Information Technology. To collaborate with IT companies and allied organizations. The Mission Western Uttar Pradesh in Northern India is still an industrially and educationally backward region despite the fact that there is a large number of educational institutions. As in general the institutions are lacking research orientation, a need was felt by the University as a social obligation to run professional job and research oriented programs, so that the youth of this region could get suitable opportunities of employment or self-employment. Enriching the region with technically qualified manpower may attract business houses to establish industrial units that may in turn contribute to economic growth of the regions. The School of Computer Engineering & Information Technology of Shobhit University seeks to promote and popularize the professional education in the area of Computer Engineering & Information Technology.
