Department of Pathology
The Department of pathology began with a skeletal staff, and established the museum, set up the laboratory, morbid anatomy room and procured various equipments and chemicals for undergraduate practical teaching. Various laboratory sections viz., Histopathology, Haematology, Clinical pathology and cytology was started. There was initial instability in the staff strength which improved over 10 year period.
Post graduate course in MD pathology was started in 2003 with 2 admissions per year
The faculty are actively involved in UG Teaching, PG teaching, Diagnostic services. Posters and scientific papers are being presented in various state, national and international Journals and conferences. The department has well stocked museum arranged systematically with corresponding legends.
