Scholarship
The Yale Graduate School of Medicine, Yale University, USA, invites applications for scholarship to PhD in Plant Molecular Biology.
Scholarship award:
- All students receive a stipend ($36,550 in 2019-20), full tuition coverage, and health insurance.
- Students who get competitive outside awards such as NIH National Research Service Awards (NRSA) or NSF fellowships receive a stipend bonus of $4,000 (for a total stipend of $40,550 in 2019-20.
- The university will provide financial aid for students who are neither U.S. citizens nor U.S. Permanent Residents is very limited, and they are able to admit only a small fraction of our non-U.S. applicant pool.
- All students admitted to Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS), regardless of citizenship, receive full financial support from the university.

Eligibility
In addition to meeting general BBS requirements, applicants to the Plant Molecular Biology Track must
- have a strong foundation in basic sciences, such as biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, or mathematics,
- be committed to pursuing research in plant sciences for their PhD, and
- be interested in cross-disciplinary approaches to plant biology.
