The Pittsburg State University Merit Scholarship , USA invites applications from undergraduates and graduates to be a part of the multicultural environment of the Pittsburg State University, USA. Through this scholarship program, the university wants to support the education of international meritorious students and allow them an opportunity to enroll in some of the nationally accredited programs of the Pitt State.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for Undergraduate programs:

  • The applicant should have scored a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4 in Class 12
  • SAT is not mandatory except for Nursing and Psychology courses

Eligibility criteria for Graduate programs:

  • The applicant should have scored a minimum GPA of 2.7 out of 4 in graduation
  • GRE is not mandatory
  • For MBA, a GMAT score of 450+ is required

Proof of English proficiency: As a proof of English language proficiency, any of the following could be considered

  • TOEFL- A minimum overall score of 68 with at least 15 in each band
  • IELTS-  A minimum overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.0 in each band
  • PTE- A minimum score of 47

How to Apply

  • New Pitt State students: students who are new to Pittsburg State must complete the Admission and Scholarship Application in order to be considered.
  • Current Pitt State students: current students must apply or re-applyfor General Scholarships each year in order to be considered. Apply for a scholarship every year by February 1
  • Departmental Scholarships: Contact the department of your major to see if a separate application is required

  • Honors College Scholarships: these scholarships require a separate application and have a deadline of January 15. Honors College Scholarships cannot be considered unless a student has (1) applied for admission, (2) submitted a transcript(s), and (3) submitted ACT score(s).
