Located in Alpha Arts and Science College is part of the four decade old Alpha Group of Institutions. The College is a private unaided, co-educational Arts and Science College approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to the University of Madras. The College, started in the year 1996 - 97 was upgraded as a Post Graduate Institution in the year 2001 - 02. The College has highly qualified and experienced faculty and excellent infrastructural facilities. The institution is attempting to create a benchmark by incorporating new initiatives in the field of education through its innovative learning methodologies. Alpha Arts and Science College believes that teaching is a key part of the learning process. The Alpha Group of educational institutions is managed by the Alpha Educational Society. The Society was formed in the year 1967, to provide quality education to its students. The Society presently manages two educational institutions. The Society, is a registered non-profit educational society under the Society Registration Act, 1860. The Alpha Arts and Science College is sponsored by the Alpha Educational Society.
